Why Functional Sports Medicine

Why Functional Sports Medicine?

This is why I choose Functional Sports Medicine.

Functional Sports Medicine keeps me active and strong, allows me to continue to play baseball at a higher level. I can still compete with the younger guys while being 38.

More importantly, Functional Sports Medicine allows me to play with my daughters day to day. It allows me to keep up, stay active, and be able to bend down, stand up, get on the ground and play with them, and stay virtually pain free while doing so.

Injuries happen, do not get me wrong, Functional Sports Medicine does not keep you free from injury, but it does help building a better foundation so that my risk of injury is lower. It also helps my body to respond better to physical activity, helps me recover from hard labor, playing Sports, or a full day running around chasing my girls.

Why Functional Sports Medicine? Because it has foundations that can make me a better, more reliable athlete, as someone that can be on the field and play at a high level, but also because it is very important to be able to play and interact with my daughters. As they grow older, I want to be able to keep up and continue to play with them, without it making me pay for a few days and shoveling ibuprofen, aleve or Bayer down my throat to function. I do still have days that I need some extra help, but those days are fewer when my training is more consistent.

Mainly, the reason I focus on Functional Sports Medicine is to not just extend my life span, but my goal is to extend my play span.

Functional Sports Medicine is great for all walks of life. The athlete trying to grow and become more competitive to make it to the next level, to the mom not wanting to throw her back out while lunking around laundry baskets and cleaning up after her kids (the big ones too), to the grandparents who want to be mobile enough to continue playing with their grandchildren while living longer, healthier and hopefully surgery, and pain free lifestyles.

So again, I ask why Functional Sports Medicine? Because I believe it is the perfect training that can help all walls of life as they age through life. Whatever season of life you are in, Functional Sports Medicine can help you.
